What SnailRepo does

At work, every record is named, versioned and tracked. This is the same diligence for your own paperwork: one encrypted archive, your folders, and review dates.

Why it matters0:30

Why keep your own copy

Agencies keep their side of the record. Divorces, estates and disputes come down to the paperwork in your mailbox, and only you are holding it.

Why it matters

Keep a copy. Track it. Find it.

The paperwork that matters most arrives by mail, and it is usually needed long after it arrives.

01Keep a copy

  • Paper is a single point of failure. One spill, move or misplaced folder and the only copy is gone.
  • Their records serve them. Agencies and companies keep, and purge, records on their own schedule. Getting their copy takes forms, fees and weeks.
  • Life events run on paperwork. Divorces, estates, insurance claims and tax questions all come down to dated records.
  • Lose the pile, keep the record. Scan it, keep any originals you still need, and clear the counter.

02Track what's due

  • Deadlines arrive in envelopes. Renewals, appeals and due dates are easy to miss when they sit in a stack.
  • You stay in control. Detected due dates become calendar items only when you confirm them, and export to Outlook, Google or Apple Calendar.
  • Proof of payment, on record. Note what you paid, when and where, so you can show it later.
  • Less in front of you. Paid bills archive themselves after 30 days, so what is left still needs attention.

03Find it fast

  • A record only helps if you can find it. Usually in the same week a lawyer, insurer or agency asks for it.
  • Filed as you scan. Each piece lands in a category and your own folders, with sender, amount and due date pulled out for you.
  • Private by design. Text recognition runs on your PC, so finding things never means uploading them.
  • Coming next: full search by sender, amount or date, with saved views. See the roadmap.
Next step

Decide where your archive lives.

Every option keeps reading and filing on your own PC. Only the storage location changes.
